I'm a technologist with strong interests in dynamic and functional languages, architecture, automated testing and operations. I live and breathe software: my spare time is spent hacking, I'm a keen writer and conference speaker, and voraciously consume programming literature, podcasts and culture.

I'm a Senior Engineer at JustYoyo, a mobile payments and marketing start-up. I'm helping build out a scalable micro-services architecture and develop accompanying iOS and Android apps. Previously I was Technical Director at Tangent Snowball, a London-based digital agency, where I was responsible for running a 30 person technical department.

I'm the author of django-oscar, the leading Python e-commerce framework, and have extensive experience building complex software such as data pipelines, CRM integrations, and service-oriented architectures.

I'm passionate about Linux, DevOps and working at the command-line. I run commandlinefu.com, a repository site for sharing commandline gems, and am experienced using Docker, Vagrant, SaltStack and related software.

I write and contribute to open-source software. Aside from Oscar, other notable Python libraries I have written include:
